  • Do I need a referral first?

    No, you do not require a referral to attend our practice.

    However, to obtain a ra medicare rebate a referral/mental health care plan from your GP or psychiatrist is needed under a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) or Eating Disorder Plan (EDP).

  • Do you offer medicare rebates?

    Yes, we offer Medicare rebates.

    Please ensure your medicare details are provided and you have a referral from your GP and a Mental Health Care Plan, then you are entitled to up to 10+ sessions through Medicare.

  • Can I use Workcover?

    Yes, Kempt Minds is a registred business that works alongside Workcover. Just let us know within your intake paperwork.

  • Do you see NDIS clients?

    Unfortunately not at this stage. We require payment upfront, however you can then seek reimbursement for your NDIS self managment platform.

  • Does Kempt Minds Bulk Bill?

    Unfortunately no- As Kempt Minds is a private psychology practice we do not bulk bill. With private health insurance, you may be eligible to claim partial costs of the consultation fee.

  • Can I form an integrated health care team?

    Yes. If Kempt Minds has received informed consent from you to touch base with your other healthcare providers (such as your GP, dietician, or school guidance counsellor) then collaborative support can be greatly beneficial.

  • Age range

    We offer services for ages 16+ years. We currently do not provide therapeutic care to children.

  • Cancellation Policy

    If unable to keep an appointment, Kempt Minds requires 48 hours notice. Appointments that are cancelled or not attended within this time period will be charged a cancellation session fee that is not claimable through Medicare. If some condtions this may be waived in unforeseen/emergency conditions.
